Main Purpose of Job

The Registered Manager needs to hold accountability and overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home to ensure we deliver a high-quality level of care, ensuring the home actively promotes the rights of young people as individuals and provides them with quality care in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organisation.

To lead a team of care workers, in conjunction with relevant legislation and guidance to ensure that good outcomes are achieved for young people within the home to meet their physical, psychological, emotional & social development.

To contribute to the overall ethos, values and aims of the organisation.

Registered Manger

We are looking for dynamic youth mentors who have a desire to engage, guide and bring a positive influence in the lives of the young people in our care. Training and NVQ qualifications will be provided but the most important quality we are looking for is a commitment and a desire to bring about a positive change in the lives of young people. The Children’s Residential Care Worker's role will involve:

• Helping to create a positive environment for each young person with particular reference to his/ her safety, health and education.

• Maintaining good professional practices in accordance with Ofsted Regulations and the Quality Care Standards for children’s homes.

• Accountable to the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager.

 

ormal shift patterns are on a rolling Rota basis and our shift working hours are:

07.30 am-23.00 pm per shift, which means days of working can vary from week to week. ob Types:

 

Full-time, Permanent Salary: £27,848* – £29,304* a year (£10.85 – £14.55 per hour plus £55 per sleep) • salary dependant on qualifications.

Childrens Residential Support Worker & SNR'S

Deputy Home Manager – Children’s Home

 

I am looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to assist in the running of a fabulous children’s home near Derby. The home provides care and support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. In this post you will required to:

 

• Support the manager in the development, implementation, monitoring and review of standards across the home

• Work with internal care staff, healthcare professionals (e.g. psychologists and occupation therapists) and educational staff, as well as external partner agencies to achieve the needs and targets of the individual young people.

• Oversee the operations of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager • Maintain a competent, motivated and confident staff team, providing supervision and development of the residential care staff For this fantastic role you must have: Level 3 in Children and young people (or equivalent) • A minimum of 4 years’ residential experience within the children’s home sector • A minimum of two years’ management experience in the children’s home sector • Experience in applying policies and procedures relating to the care of young people and the management of services • Experience of the current Ofsted Inspection Framework

Deputy Children's Home Manager

12.40 – £16.50 an hour

Would you like to make a difference to elderly and vulnerable people in your local community? Companions Who Care are a small friendly local service providing companionship and practical support for people in their own homes. We are looking for a mature, kind-hearted person with life experience and a positive practical nature, who is available to initially offer 4-12 hours per week, ideally including a few hours occasionally on weekends (with advance notice for these visits). Visits are 1.5/2 hours minimum in length. You will visit the same client(s) each week to build up rapport and provide supportive client-tailored support. No assistance with personal care is required. This post is for the Bath area. Although clients have different requirements, for this role you MUST be willing to help with the following: • Companionship / support with interests • Home help and light housework • Laundry and bed changing • Shopping and meal preparation • Trips out / help to attend appointments. Carer experience is not essential although may be advantageous. A positive, friendly character, and willingness to help are the most important attributes for this role.
